National Mourning Day in Bangladesh – National Mourning Day in Bangladesh will celebrate on 15 August 2019

National Mourning Day in Bangladesh 2019! Party leaders will place wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in Dhaka around 6.30 am. Awami League has chalked out elaborate programs to observe the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day on August 15. Bangabandhu and 16 other members of his family were killed in a military coup on the night of August 15, 1975.

As part of the programs, the national and party flags will fly half-mast atop all the offices of Awami League and Bangabandhu Bhaban on the day. In the morning, the party leaders will place wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Museum in Dhaka around 6.30 am.
