Rosh Hashanah – Happy Jewish New Year 2021- Happy Rosh Hashanah 2021 – Latest Update (30 September)

Happy Rosh Hashanah 2021 – Latest Update (30 September)! Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה) is the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah literally translates to the Head of the Year. It is a two-day festival. In the Bible, it is called Yom Ha-Zikkaron, the day of remembrance, or Yom Teruah the day of the sounding of the shofar-(Leviticus 23:24-25).

Jews start Rosh Hashanah festivals with the lighting of the candles and synagogue prayers. On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, Jews eat an apple dipped in honey to signify a sweet new year to come. They also place a fishs head at the table to commemorate ‘being ahead and not a tail’.

Rosh Hashanah Greetings 2021:

“Rosh Hashanah isn’t just about being new, it’s about a change.” – Max Levis

“On one hand, we know that Rosh Hashanah is the Day of Judgment. The scales are poised. Each person is judged according to his deeds (or lack of them).” – Binyomin Adilman

“The Lord made Adam, the Lord made Eve, he made ’em both a little bit naive.” – Yip Harburg

“For many Jews, Rosh Hashanah and Teshuvah are annual reminders of the possibility to renew relationships with God and with each other.” – Rebecca Missel

“The Devil did not tempt Adam and Eve to steal, to lie, to kill, to commit adultery; he tempted them to live independent of God.” – Bob Jones, Sr.

“The key to understanding the themes of Rosh Hashanah is the date. The Day of Judgment for the world was not chosen arbitrarily but is specifically on this date — not because it is the first day of the year, but because it is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve.” – South Africa’s Chief Rabbi, Dr. Warren Goldstein.
